An IMMERSION into the vibrant sounds and electrifying moves of Brazilian culture.

Bem-Vindo, Welcome! Step into the rhythm and energy of California Brazil Camp where each year professional performers, teachers, and passionate enthusiasts come together for a remarkable full-immersion into Brazilian performance arts and culture. From music and dance to language and cuisine, you'll enjoy a little bit of everything that makes Brazil so enchanting. All while polishing your skills and improving your craft, but most importantly, having some serious fun! No matter your level of expertise, you're sure to have a fantastic time learning from world-class instructors.

Our serene campsite is nestled amongst an ancient redwood grove in Northern California. When you need a moment of relaxation, you can unwind and recharge amid the creek's stunning natural beauty. And although intended for adults, supervised children are more than welcome!

What to expect

Get ready for an action-packed day with six periods of intensive learning and fun! Check out our Faculty & Classes page for a glimpse of the fantastic courses we offer, and view a sample class schedule.

Your tuition covers classes, lodging, and three delicious meals per day, including some Brazilian favorites that will leave you wanting more! You'll also have plenty of snacks, coffee and tea. In the evening, you can enjoy other activities, such as pagode jam sessions, rodas de choro, our beloved jazz tent, and maybe even forró night!

For accommodations, we've got you covered with cozy canvas tents on raised wooden platforms which are shared with three other campers.

It's recommended to register early to secure your preferred tent spot. If you prefer a private camping experience, you can bring your own tent. RVs are welcome too, but prior notice is required. Though we're in the great outdoors, we provide clean and comfortable bathrooms and showers throughout the campsite.

Getting to Camp

CBC takes place the town of Cazadero, California, about two hours north of San Francisco. Camp starts at 6pm on the first day of either session. Attendees flying to the San Francisco or Oakland airports can take a commercial bus from the airport to Santa Rosa (Groome Transportation, formerly Sonoma County Airport Express).

CBC will arrange a shuttle to pick you up on the first day of either session in Santa Rosa at the last bus stop, the Sonoma County Airport. The ride to camp is just under one hour. We will have two shuttles, 3pm and 5pm, so plan to arrive in Santa Rosa before 5 pm!

The return trip will leave Cazadero at 2:30pm and 4:30pm, only on the last day of camp. CBC's fee for this service is $50 round-trip and must be arranged in advance.
